I had that sinking feeling, like when you've forgotten something, or when reality smashes down on your head

I started a pair of socks with some of the automatic patterning denim style yarn, and a hat for Leif as well - out of the baby Dale. Anne showed me the pattern and my gauge seemed right, but now that I have struggled along about 2 good inches, I noticed that it was not as stretchy as it should be and hear I am knitting on 000's - so I check my gauge and its too small.......boo hoo

Alas, no 0 needles in town (skacel does not make a 00), so I have ordered from Knit Picks. So back to the socks, just finished the ribbing....
